The Supervisor of Maintenance is an integral part of the leadership team and is expected to be part a safe and efficient Maintenance Department. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of industrial facilities. They will supervise a team of maintenance technicians who perform tasks such as repairing equipment, maintaining building systems, and ensuring that production processes run smoothly. • Strong communication and organizational skills
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications

• Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the PLPS and daily management systems using lean tools.
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities aligned with corporate objectives and ensure thorough documentation for audit purposes.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across layout design, workflow processes, and integration of lean best practices.
• Coach and mentor team members and management in lean principles, including value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban, visual controls, and Daily MDI.
• Conduct annual value stream mapping events across all business sites, including non-manufacturing functions, and track progress toward future state goals.
• Manage and enhance Daily Management Boards to ensure compliance, visibility, and accountability.
• Act as a liaison for cross-functional communication and lead corporate-level presentations on continuous improvement outcomes.
• Identify and address organizational barriers that impede lean adoption.
• Support the broader PLPS team and help instill a lean-first mindset across all departments.

• Build, repair, and maintain metal stamping dies, including progressive and standard dies.
• Support and maintain fourslide dies and tooling with a focus on quality and fit.
• Build or replace heat set tooling as required by production demands.
• Replace and fabricate custom machine parts and components.
• Maintain high-speed carbide tooling, ensuring performance and longevity.
• Build precision gages and fixtures to support quality assurance and production needs.
• Perform in-house heat treating of tool steel using established processes.
• Operate CNC or EDM equipment if qualified, contributing to high-precision projects.

This position will involve:

• Monitor OEE, production cost per part, scrap, and perform process development to assure product quality, timely deliveries, continuing cost-effectiveness, and profitability.
• Develop and execute new manufacturing plans and methods, process, production equipment, PM and tool engineering, and maintenance techniques to maximize productivity, lower costs, and provide high quality.
• Determine capital equipment needs, recommend the purchase of proper equipment, and supervise installation and debugging of equipment to ensure on-time delivery of cost-effective equipment meeting specification and capability requirements.
• Evaluate new product designs, working closely with Product Engineering to ensure optimum manufacturing capabilities utilizing Continuous Improvement and manufacturability designs.
• Validate production processes using statistical methods to provide world-class manufacturing capabilities and maximum effectiveness of equipment and processes.
• Prepare and present project reports, test reports, status and monthly activity reports, and manufacturing studies to keep the supervisor fully aware of activities and progress.
• Create process documentation, operational work instructions, and other supporting documentation as required to support our client's operations and the customers" needs. Safety needs to be a top priority in the implementation of new procedures.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, records, and systems to allow proper design, improvement, and manufacturing equipment maintenance.
• Interface with customer engineering departments to ensure that all products and processes exceed customer requirements.
• Support and input information for PPAP requirements as required for changes and launches.
• Support the 6S efforts across the machining department.
