Job Description

An award-winning Financial Services client of iMPact Business Group is seeking an experienced Senior Web Application Server / Middleware Administrator for a permanent hire role.  Candidates for this role must be able to be hired directly for this position without Visa sponsorship at this time.

This role is a work from home position, as such Candidates do need to match their work day to the Eastern time zone.  Candidates do need to reside in the US.

This position will work in an Enterprise-class large scale environment so formal Data Center experience is needed.

An ideal Candidate is someone who has experience with - 

  • Architecting, building, and maintaining all aspects of enterprise-class mid-tier Web Application Server focused systems
  • Has enterprise level technical project coordination and communication experience
  • Experience patching and upgrading assigned systems
  • Providing ongoing support for application system issues
  • Leading remediation efforts for Server/Application outages
  • Proactive approach to avoiding system outages
  • Experience with capacity monitoring, observing system utilization to establish current and future system requirements
  • Experience with system Backups and Disaster Recovery
  • Able and wiling to Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation schedule

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with Web Application Server administration
  • At least 1 year experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, or other Container-based technologies
  • Experience with application performance tuning, high-availability, backup, and recovery
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic and Tomcat administration, desired
  • Strong experience with UNIX/Linux environments and commands
  • Experience writing and maintaining Shell Scripts
  • Experience administering Messaging systems, such as Apache Active Message Queuing (AMQ)
  • Application performance management & monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace
  • Experience using Ansible to automate repetitive work
  • Experience with application lifecycle automation tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and XLDeploy

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees
