Job Description
Our customer is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Upholster to join their growing team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove completed chairs from production lines and inspect for defects
- Assemble chair components including seats, backs, and feet
- Pack orders accurately and on time
- Grind, sand, clean, and polish chair frames using hand and power tools
- Trim, scrape, or deburr parts using chisels, scrapers, and handheld grinders
- Sand wood parts and chair components based on daily work orders
- Cut wood parts following patterns and specifications
- Apply upholstery using staples; glue foam to wooden seats and cut vinyl as required
- Assist with handling materials for assemblies and finished goods
- Perform quality checks in accordance with company standards
- Complete ERP tasks such as clocking in/out and updating work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Upholstery, stapling, and fabric experience required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred, or equivalent education/experience
- Experience with hand tools such as D8 sanders, routers, belt sanders, drills, staple guns, and glue guns (training available)
- Sewing applicants must pass an onsite sewing skills test
- OT on Saturdays required as needed
- Work schedule: 5:00 AM-1:30 PM or 5:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Can listen to music while working!
