Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacture has an immediate opening for a Trade Compliance Analyst for a 12 Month + Contract. Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)

The Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for day to day operational support of U.S. Export, import and compliance operations for our client and cross border shipments supporting finished good products, raw materials, samples, and equipment in accordance with established corporate policies and procedures and in compliance with U.S. Customs, Foreign Trade, and U.S. Dept. Of Commerce.

Additional responsibilities of the Trade Compliance Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:

Serve as the process owner and liaison between Brokers and Business Units for the import clearance process, including documentation, product valuation, and FDA/tariff coding troubleshoot any discrepancies to clear all imports through PGA and Customs in a compliant and timely manner
Responsible for all export transactions, to address shipment holds & inquires, understanding export trade restrictions
Maintain recordkeeping in accordance to 19CFR & 15 CFR Regulations
Develop corrective actions resulting from deviations to audit standards with support of Sr. Analyst
Analyze and Update the Import and Export Metrics
Perform the Export Transaction Audit
Conduct & Support procedural audits in accordance to our clients policies. Perform Restricted/Denied Party Screenings, to include adding new Trade partners, reviewing potential concerns, and addressing them accordingly
Provide guidance to the Business Units regarding import & export requirements. Assist Trade Compliance on special projects

Qualifications and Work Experience

A Bachelor s degree is preferred. Licensed Customs Broker, or other industry certification is highly preferred.

Ideal candidates will also possess the following skills/experiences:

A minimum of 3 years of relevant Trade Compliance experience is required
Strong understanding of business, trading practices and applicable laws
Results oriented, with the ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities in a fast pace environment
Ability to make decisions without all the details, evaluate outcomes and manage change in a dynamic environment
Strong partnering experience demonstrated by creating new relationships that drive cross-functional process improvements
Experience working in a highly matrixed, global organization is critical for success
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to functional leaders in upper management and external partners
Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to embrace learning regulatory requirements
