Tax Accountant/Enrolled Agent (Mostly Remote)

Job Description
- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws while providing high-quality tax planning services.
- Work closely with senior tax professionals to support more complex tax filings and resolve tax issues.
- Manage start-to-finish tax preparation processes for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) designation (required).
- 2+ years of experience in tax preparation with a focus on individual and small business returns.
- Familiarity with UltraTax CS or similar tax preparation software.
- Strong knowledge of Michigan tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in a public accounting firm
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet client deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for providing high-quality client service.
- Desire to grow and develop in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
- 95% remote work environment, with occasional travel to the Grand Rapids office (1-2 times a year).
