The Systems Administrator primarily responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting Universal s computer and server systems. Designs, installs, and maintains Universal s server and storage infrastructure, network LAN/WAN designs and installs, Internet and intranet systems, telephony and video conference services, application support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs and deploys new server, networks and storage systems
Supports LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
Maintains overall system health, efficiency, and security.
Evaluates new applications for technical needs and compatibility.
Maintains backup systems
Ensures design of system and allows all components to work properly together.
Troubleshoots problems reported by users.
Makes recommendations for future upgrades.
Maintains server and network security.
Analyzes and isolate issues.
Monitors networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
Evaluates and modifies system' s performance.
Identifies user needs.
Maintains integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
Ensures network connectivity throughout a company' s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
Performs network address assignment.
Assigns routing protocols and routing table configuration.
Assigns configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
Maintains network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
Maintains network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
Administers servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
Performs other duties as required.

Education and / or Experience:
Bachelor s degree preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years work experience & minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
Must have 2+ years experience in IT working with Windows Server 2008/2012 environment; installing, troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading operating systems, MS SQL; and installing and maintaining Cisco switches/high end routers/firewall systems.
Telephony experience preferred.
Must be a team player.
Strong oral / written communication skills, and able to deal effectively with personnel from all levels of organization.
