Supply Chain Service Specialist

Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)
This individual will be working heavily in AS400 and Salesforce.Com. Candidates need to be well versed in Outlook, word, and excel. This person will be analyzing our expired contracts and driving notifications to our sales reps to renew while also generating some initial ROI (Return on Investment) documents. They need to be able to think on their feet and have some solid analytical skills. They need to be able to think, act, communicate, solve problems, etc.
Monitors supply chain and acts to prevent bottlenecks, delays and shortages in the flow of materials from warehouse or suppliers to production lines and worksites.
Compiles and maintains inventory and status information to optimize movement of material and parts.
Uses ERP system to order, receive, ship and store parts and updates records.
Ensures required stock is on hand or on order to support operations.
Processes purchase requisitions to order required parts.
Tracks shipments, confirms rates with carriers, consolidates loads, and selects most cost effective method of transport.
Serves as a link between quality, engineering, customer service, production control and manufacturing to provide feedback on potential bottleneck areas.
Prepares documentation and reports on progress of work and supply chain issues.
