Job Description
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer for 6+ month contract to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality fabrication, assembly, testing, and delivery of products. If you have a knack for problem-solving, process improvement, and technical precision, this role is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment.
As a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Product Support Engineering to identify root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Develop and train inspectors on Quality Inspection Documents.
- Prepare and disseminate reports on company quality metrics.
- Contribute to the creation and approval of QA work instructions, check sheets, and final inspection records.
- Generate performance charts for quality indicators and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support metrology activities, including conducting risk assessments.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field, with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR a Master's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Metrology techniques.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and product specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
- The ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with or without accommodation.
- Willingness to work overtime, as required.
While not required, the following will set you apart:
- Experience with machining and inspecting parts made from large aluminum castings.
- Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Six Sigma Green Belt, Yellow Belt, or Black Belt certification.
- Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) functionality and programming.
- Experience conducting Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies.
- Training or working knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts.

Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
