Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing company here in the West MI area, is looking for a Staff Accountant.
 
Our client has a 'hybrid' model for their work week (Mon-Thurs onsite in Walker, MI, Fri Remote).  The ability to travel for collaboration or participation in process improvement and Company-wide events may be required but will be infrequent.
 
  • Month end/year end close
  • Reconciliations and month-end reporting
  • Journal entries  
  • Analyze and record business transactions 
  • Bill customers for shipments and apply cash received to customers' accounts
  • Monitor Balance Sheet accounts and variances in the income statement
  • Ad Hoc reporting 
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns

Job Requirements

Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with the general ledger 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees

Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
