Impact Business Group is partnering with our E-Commerce client in Sarasota on a PERM Onsite Staff Accountant opportunity.  

The Staff Accountant is to support the Financial Controller in all transactions, duties, and initiative. This role will handle the day-to-day financial preparation for, but not limited to, A/P, bank reconciliations, month-end/year-end financial transaction recording and reporting, as well as handling requests from outside and internal auditors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations, such as bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned
• Process inter-company transactions
• Calculate and enter monthly accruals
• Prepare month-end journal entries and maintain supporting records as part of the month-end close process
• Prepare documentation/work papers for external auditors
• Perform accounts payable duties as well as month-end and year-end closing tasks as assigned

• Perform analytical procedures as part of monthly closing and as appropriate to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting

• Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3+ years of relevant experience (public accounting is a plus)
• Highly Proficient in MS Excel or Google Sheets
• Working knowledge of accounting standards and principals
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Project accounting experience a plus
• Experience with accounting software
• Familiarity with Apple OS
• Familiarity with government accounting / FAR, a plus
