Job Description

Our client, an esteemed Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a Quality Engineer ready to contribute their expertise and passion to a dynamic, globally recognized organization. This role offers an opportunity to step into a vibrant, fast-paced environment where your technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities will be integral in upholding high-quality standards.

Your Responsibilities:
*    Support the Quality Manager in the development and implementation of quality control standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with ISO/TS 16949 and other relevant standards.
*    Collaborate with cross-functional teams in driving quality initiatives and improvement programs.
*    Evaluate the quality of supplied materials and work with suppliers to ensure high-quality standards are met.
*    Conduct root cause analysis for defects or quality issues and assist in implementing effective corrective actions.
*    Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques and tools to monitor and control quality.
*    Assist in the management of customer and supplier issues to ensure effective resolution and build strong relationships.


Job Requirements

Your Qualifications:
*    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
*    Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality engineering role within the automotive sector.
*    Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO/TS 16949.
*    Proficiency in problem-solving techniques, with an emphasis on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
*    Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methodologies.

Preferences:
*    Certifications like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar.
*    Experience working with global automotive OEMs.
*    Familiarity with advanced product quality planning (APQP) and production part approval process (PPAP).
*    Knowledge of Minitab or other statistical software packages.
