Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan s 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Sr. Construction Procurement/Contracts Analyst.


Advise project teams, lead and manage strategic sourcing process minimizing company exposure and maximizing value. Internally - This individual will coordinate multidisciplined teams and capture their input appropriately. Externally - this individual will negotiate details for the acquisition of the goods, materials, and construction services the company requires.


Ability to Work with the Project Team and evaluate the scope of procurement/contracting and recommend appropriate commercial arrangements that minimize company and project risks.
Ability to Work with the Project Team to establish a pricing strategy for each work package.
Responsible for implementing processes such as pre-qualification, NDA, RFP/RFQ.
Experienced in preparation, assembling, coordinating and managing major infrastructure construction project' s RFPs/RFQs
Experience and ability in evaluating and negotiating bidder exceptions to Ts and Cs (internally and with bidder)
Experience in conforming agreed Contract / Purchase Agreement for review and approval by all
Experience with Contract Change Management
Support the Project Team in contract interpretation, correspondence, completion, invoicing and closeout.
Experience implementing claims mitigation and management
Attention to detail
Excellent writing skills


A bachelor' s degree in business management, business administration, or a related field is required.
Related professional experience is also required, especially in commercial and contracting project management area in complex construction projects.
