Job Description

Our client, an automotive manufacturing company in the Holland/Zeeland area, is actively looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join their team! 
Relocation assistance is available for out-of-area candidates

 The Sr Process Engineer will be a Foam Subject Matter Expert and will be responsible for providing automotive interior polyurethane  cost estimation, chemistry, formulation, and processing expertise to support profitability and quality. A successful candidate will be high energy, well organized and process driven with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
 
Position responsibilities:
  • Assess processing issues, root cause analysis and implementing countermeasures to reduce scrap and repair rates on production lines
  • Develop and transfer new PU technology into commercial value within company processes
  • Utilize experience with the manufacturing, formulating, processing and testing of Polyurethane polymers and systems 
  • Optimize processing and chemical conversion for current products
  • Monitor foam processing equipment condition and maintenance and recommend equipment improvements/upgrades
  • Apply existing knowledge and best practices of foam technology to current and future products
  • Support quoting, innovation and advanced engineering activities with foam system expertise and recommendations
  • Support both launch and production in addressing quality and processing issues promptly
  • Develop & maintain a foam processing documentation systems
  • Advise on foam tooling feasibility and design optimization
 

Job Requirements

Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field
  • 5+ years minimum of professional experience in foam engineering
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees

Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
