Sr Buyer

Job Description
- Procurement: Source and purchase materials, components, and supplies necessary for production in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluate their performance, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, assess demand forecasts, and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover while minimizing carrying costs.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze pricing trends, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure the quality and compliance of purchased materials with company standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging suppliers to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier evaluations for management review.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience purchasing commodities in a manufacturing environment.
- Great communication skills - ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
