Job Description
Our Software Product client in the Greater Grand Rapids, MI area is seeking an experienced Product/Project Manager to join their team for a direct hire role.
Job description
Cross-functional leader that understands and helps define the software product. Manages product/software development connecting technical, business, and user teams. Monitors and updates daily tasks for the development process. Maintains the overall roadmap and keeps stakeholders aware of material changes. Alerts stakeholders and/or leadership when their input or intervention is needed.
- Meet to define the software product features and requirements
- Contribute ideas and give feedback to other team members
- Contribute user stories for requirements
- Coordinate discussions between technical, business, and user teams
- Escalate issues to stakeholders and leadership when required
- Maintain intimate knowledge of the entire product
- Manage user stories and requirements
- Maintain product and development roadmap
- Project Manage the software development of the product
- Facilitate converting requirements into tasks
- Monitor progress of all tasks
- Ensure resources are acting on tasks in a timely manner
- Play gatekeeper for new features and changes
- Help facilitate user testing and product rollout
- Monitor support tickets
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software product management of web/mobile products
- 5+ years of experience in software product design for web/mobile apps
- Experience leading Greenfield software product development efforts
- Ability to define Product/System requirements
- Experience building SAAS product offerings
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to present to Senior Leadership and Business Customers
- Software Development Project Management experience
- An ideal background also includes past experience working as an Application Developer
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
