Job Description

Our client, a leader in the Automotive Industry, is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join their team. The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving operations of the manufacturing facility and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive manufacturing industry and a strong background in logistics and transportation. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
•          Manage a team of shipping and receiving personnel and ensure their activities are coordinated to meet delivery schedules
•          Develop and implement shipping and receiving procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
•          Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability of products for shipping
•          Collaborate with production teams to coordinate shipping schedules and optimize production planning
•          Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
•          Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving transactions
•          Evaluate and improve logistics and transportation processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
•          Provide training and guidance to shipping and receiving personnel

Job Requirements

Requirements:
•          Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field
•          5+ years of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry
•          Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and transportation processes and procedures
•          Experience in managing shipping and receiving personnel
•          Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software
•          Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies
•          Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferences:
•          Master's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field
•          Experience with international shipping and customs regulations
•          Six Sigma certification
•          Bilingual in English and Spanish
•          Familiarity with automotive logistics systems such as SAP or Oracle

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees
