Shipping & Receiving Clerk (3rd shift)
Job Description
As a Traffic Assistant, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day logistics operations of our fast-paced manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented, high-energy environment and enjoys being a key part of a collaborative supply chain team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods through our shipping and receiving processes. You'll interact daily with truck drivers, internal departments, and system platforms like SAP to manage dock traffic, confirm orders, and maintain shipping accuracy. You'll work closely with supervisors, schedulers, and inventory controllers to support production timelines and maintain organized shipping lanes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and coordinating dock door assignments to optimize loading and unloading efficiency
* Assisting the supervisor, IO scheduler, and inventory controller with administrative and logistical tasks
* Accurately entering Good Receipts in SAP and ensuring all documentation is up to date
* Managing communications via email and phone with internal teams and external drivers
* Preparing staging lanes for outgoing shipments and coordinating outbound order processing
* Running daily reports to support operations and maintain real-time shipment visibility
* Conducting order closeouts and tracking dock door usage, including door swaps
* Supporting a strong culture of safety, communication, and operational excellence

Job Requirements
Very strong computer literacy, highly organized, able to multitask, balance priorities, and function independently when necessary.
1-2 years of transportation experience strongly preferred.
High school graduate and computer literacy
