Senior Program Manager

Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior Program Manager to take the reins of high-impact, technically complex programs across the defense, aerospace, and industrial sectors. This role is a critical leadership position responsible for driving strategic programs from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and stakeholder satisfaction throughout. As the primary interface with major customers and internal teams, you'll lead multi-disciplinary efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with direct influence over operations, budgets, and long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple large-scale, cross-functional programs from kickoff to final delivery
• Align program execution with technical, contractual, and financial objectives
• Develop and maintain revenue forecasts and provide regular performance updates to leadership
• Act as the senior point of contact for key customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and retention
• Coordinate efforts across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Test, and Purchasing teams
• Track and manage program KPIs including cost, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Identify risks early and develop effective mitigation and recovery plans
• Organize and lead program status reviews, design reviews, and customer meetings
• Maintain control over scope changes, deliverables, and contractual obligations
• Mentor and support junior program managers or coordinators as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field-or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in program or project management within a manufacturing or technical environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills
• Experience managing defense/government contracts and compliance-driven projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project
• Skilled in managing multiple high-priority programs concurrently
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and follow-through

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification (or equivalent formal project management credential)
• Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, and NIST 800-171
• Prior experience working with major defense and aerospace companies (e.g., Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, L3Harris)
• Background in electronics or power systems
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems and technical documentation
