Senior Network Engineer

Job Description
- Managing projects with multiple tasks and coordinating resources for large-scale network projects.
- Monitoring network performance and implementing tuning operations to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Providing troubleshooting support for network performance and connectivity issues.
- Utilizing various analyzers, monitoring, and troubleshooting software to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Collaborating with application developers to monitor network utilization for new business applications or major changes.
- Analyzing network security and making recommendations to minimize security risks.
- Proficiency with Cisco routers, routing, MPLS, QoS, VoIP, Gateways, and ACLs (must).
- Proficiency with Arista and/or Cisco switching platforms, Vlans, QoS, and subnetting (must).
- Working knowledge of Cisco CAPWAP wireless infrastructure, including AirOS and IOS-XE software platforms. Experience with Flexconnect, Cisco DNAC/DNAS, Wireless Controllers is preferred. Knowledge of Arista Wireless Cloudvision CUE is a plus.
- Cisco VoIP infrastructure knowledge, including UCCX, Contact Center, CallManager, and Unity (must).
- Experience with SD-WAN/Aruba-SilverPeak infrastructure is a plus.
- Familiarity with IT monitoring and management tools is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is beneficial.
- Experience in following up with ISP carriers is a must.
- Basic understanding of DNS management, DDI, DNS, DHCP, IPAM is preferred, knowledge of Infoblox is a plus.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructures is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Availability to travel and work after hours or weekends if necessary.
- CCNA certification is preferred, while CCNP is a plus.
- Knowledgeable about physical layer infrastructure and environmental requirements for data and voice communication networks.
- Experienced in installation, configuration, and management of data and voice communication network components.
- Familiar with various network protocols and communication network operations.
- Proficient in relevant naming conventions and protocol and wiring standards knowledge.
- Understand PMO methodologies for designing and architecting logical and physical network components to adapt to changing requirements.
- Aware of industry trends and new technologies in network architecture planning.
- Understand interoperability requirements between data/voice communication networks and other information technologies like servers, desktops, databases, and telecommunications.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and thrive in a team environment.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
