Scrum Master

Our global manufacturing client is seeking a dynamic and passionate Scrum Master to join their IT organization in the Greater Grand Rapids, MI area for a contract or contract to hire. This pivotal role focuses on guiding and enhancing the performance of a high-performing, self-empowered IT team. As the backbone of strategic project delivery, you will work closely with various stakeholders to foster an environment of growth and continuous improvement, emphasizing agile practices. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an enthusiastic, high-performance team capable of meeting strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with the Agile Product Lead (Product Owner) to identify and remove impediments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Promote and educate the team and broader organization on Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Facilitate all Scrum events and cross-team coordination, ensuring seamless communication and integration.
• Drive the accuracy and consistency of data within the project backlog, enhancing clarity and expectations through integrated dashboards and reports.
• Monitor and measure team progress using empirical methods to manage complex work efficiently.
• Support the team, alongside Agile Product Leads and other Agile Delivery Leaders, in their continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure accountability for the Scrum team's effectiveness and partner with People Leaders on talent management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams using Scrum, Kanban, or Scrum@Scale.
• Proven track record of leading the development of IT solutions in collaboration with business units.

Preferences:

• At least 2 years of prior experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Leader.
• Strong advocacy for team, customer, and platform needs with a commitment to transparency and open communication.
• Experience negotiating project targets, resources, and deliverables across multiple IT business teams.
