Saw Operator - CNC Manufacturing | Bloomingdale, GA
Hours: 6a-430p M-Th with OT on Friday appx 8hrs
Our client, a leading player in precision CNC manufacturing, is seeking a skilled and reliable Saw Operator to join their production team in Bloomingdale, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced industrial setting and takes pride in producing high-quality cuts that support machining operations. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a solid understanding of material handling, and experience operating industrial saws in a manufacturing environment.
This role is essential to the smooth flow of production. As a Saw Operator, you'll be responsible for cutting raw materials to specification, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that production timelines are met with accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial saws (horizontal band saws, cold saws, etc.) to cut raw metal and other materials to precise specifications.
- Interpret cut lists, blueprints, and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
- Measure and mark materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and squares.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on saws and cutting equipment.
- Inspect finished cuts for accuracy, quality, and conformity to standards.
- Safely load and unload materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies consistently.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating industrial saws in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, cut lists, and measuring tools.
- Familiarity with metal types, dimensions, and machining preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight tolerances.
- Good physical condition; able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math and mechanical skills.
Preferences:
- Experience in CNC or metal fabrication environments.
- Forklift certification or overhead crane experience.
- Basic computer skills for work order entry or material tracking.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
