Our client, a packaging company on the North side of Grand Rapids, is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team.
This position will report to a Customer Director and will oversee 3 outside sales reps and 4 inside sales/customer support reps.
The Sales Manager is responsible for all customer interactions. This person will be the point of contact for our customer support teams and outside sales reps. The number one goal is to ensure our customers receive the best possible experience.
Take ownership over the customer experience
Coach and direct Customer Support and Outside Sales teams
Improve and develop procedures, policies, and standards
Responsible for scheduling and daily tasks of Customer Support Teams
Utilize reporting tools and ERP to efficiently manage the sales process
Oversight of sales pipeline, trade shows, follow-up, and customer retention
Travel and training with outside sales reps
Engage with departments heads in process improvement, communication, and ongoing tasks
Aid in overall pricing strategy, product development, and program development
5+ Years of successful direct customer interaction
3+ years of Supervisory/Leadership experience in customer service, sales, and/or marketing
Outside sales experience preferred
Bachelor s degree in a business or related field required
Professionalism, integrity, and positive attitude
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
High proficiency in CRM applications
Experience in the produce or food industry a plus
Travel requirements- less than 10%
