Job Description

REWORK OPERATOR, 1st & 2nd Shifts Available

  • 1st shift - Monday-Thursday 5am-330pm 
  • 2nd shift - Monday-Thursday 330pm-2am

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Check foot straps for ESD compliance as needed
  • Follows ISO process sheet for the operation.
  • Adheres to all quality and safety guidelines
  • Participate in performance feedback
  • Using tweezers, solder extractor, solder iron, hot air pencil and hot air reflow, will rework printed circuit boards per specifications
  • Must be detailed and meticulous in work and able to solder precisely
  • Will be knowledgeable of rework aids:   solder braid, flux, flux-core solder, solder paste isopropyl alcohol
  • May use visual aids to rework board
  • Will keep records in quality system, i.e. parts tracking, defect locations and specific issues with the boards
  • Enters scrap information into quality system 
  • Additional duties as necessary

  • Continuous inspection of products/objects/materials, simple planning, simple decision making
  • Frequent complex planning and decision making
  • Frequent analyzing data, ability to write, and verbal communication
  • Continuous logic to define problems, collect information and draw conclusions, ability to comprehend basic written instructions, safety rules, office memoranda, technical or professional materials
  • Continuous ability to comprehend verbal language- simple sentences/instructions and technical and complex information, conversing in standard English
  • Continuous basic counting, addition and/or subtraction of numbers
  • PPE Required: safety glasses/goggles, ESD smock, ESD heel straps, ESD wrist strap when sitting

 

Technical

  • Knowledge of quality procedures
  • Prior EMS experience preferred
  • Knowledge of safety policy
  • Able to read and follow production processes
  • Ability to keep department records as needed
  • Able and willing to cross-train into other production positions which may have different technical or physical requirements
  • Able to successfully complete position certification course (IPC-610 Certification)
