Engaging Summary: Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in steering financial operations across multiple units? Our client is seeking a seasoned Regional Controller, a key figure ensuring robust accounting practices and financial success in the region. This role is not just about crunching numbers; it's about being a strategic partner and an advisor, offering insights that shape the financial trajectory of the organization. Your expertise will support Operating Unit Presidents in their financial and project analysis, while also maintaining a vigilant eye on the company's transactions and assets.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic financial advice and maintain constant communication with COO and CFO on regional financial performance.
  • Act as a business partner and key resource for Operating Unit Presidents within the region.
  • Evaluate and enhance the performance of accounting and finance staff, including recommending necessary training and changes.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of monthly and annual Operating Unit financial statements.
  • Uphold and enforce the company's delegation of authority and corporate policies.
  • Facilitate relevant audit, tax, insurance, and other informational needs for the corporate office.
  • Implement and monitor credit and collection procedures, overseeing collections and payments.
  • Assist with M&A due diligence and lead acquisition integration within the region as required.
  • Take on additional special activities and responsibilities as directed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (B.S. or B.A.).
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in industry accounting, including 5+ years in a percentage completion project accounting environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a multi-company/multi-location setting.
  • Exceptional skills in MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP software, ideally MS Dynamics.
  • Proficient in communication, capable of understanding and conveying instructions, policy documents, and engaging comfortably with all organizational levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of business and management principles.
