Job Description
Our client, a designer and manufacturer of highly reliable, ruggedized low voltage switch-mode power supplies and backup power (UPS) products for military/aerospace and industrial applications is seeking a Receiving Clerk. They are a rapidly growing company offering opportunities for professional growth and advancement in a positive work environment.
Here are some of the key responsibilities for this position as well as skills, and qualifications we would like to see:
- Inspecting deliveries to ensure they match order, packing slip and invoice criteria.
- Receiving and signing for deliveries as required.
- Unloading deliveries from trucks.
- Record shipments in computer system.
- Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
- Updating inventory with received items.
- Communicating with vendors regarding delays or problems.
- Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
- Kitting of work orders.
- Purchasing of office supplies.
- Work with vendors/carriers on any shipment discrepancies.
Job Requirements
Education: High school diploma/GED.
Experience
- Previous warehouse receiving experience.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations
- Physical dexterity and experience operating lifting equipment.
- Computer skills and knowledge of data entry.
- Basic math skills.
