Job Description
Our customer is looking for a hands-on Quality Manager to lead their quality team and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and distribution. In this role, you'll strengthen quality systems, reduce defects, lead corrective actions, and partner with operations to deliver reliable products and lasting solutions.
What you'll do:
- Lead daily Quality Department operations across manufacturing and distribution
- Drive corrective actions, root cause analysis, and permanent solutions for quality issues
- Maintain and improve ISO 9001 compliance, audits, quality systems, and documentation
- Track key quality metrics including scrap, rework, PPM, KPIs, and cost of quality
- Partner with operations to improve processes, reduce non-conformances, and support new product development
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members while building a strong culture of quality
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
- Ability to develop talent, manage processes, and deliver results
Job Requirements
What you'll need:
- 7+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervision experience and leading a team
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Experience with quality tools, SPC, ERP systems, audits, and problem-solving methods such as 5 Whys, 8D, or A3
- Strong communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Lean Six Sigma or ASQ certification preferred
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- ASQ Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer
- Experience with Oracle, advanced SPC, MES architecture, and aligning systems to operations needs
