Job Description

Our client, a growing leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as a Quality Technician at their Norton Shores location. As a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of the company by performing internal and external audits of automotive parts and systems to ensure that they meet required specifications and standards. You will work closely with the production team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise, and will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and documentation of all audit activities.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Conduct internal and external audits of automotive parts and systems to ensure that they meet required specifications and standards
  • Act as an internal and/or external liaison with customers and suppliers on quality concerns or issues
  • Provide Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and Supplier Return Authorizations (SRAs) for returned material
  • Identify and report any issues or discrepancies found during audits
  • Collaborate with production team to resolve any identified issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of all audit activities
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall quality

Job Requirements

  • 1yr+ months of auditor experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to understand work instructions and basic math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to write and complete required paperwork
  • IATF Internal Auditor certification (Internal Liaison)
  • Familiarity with quality management systems
