Seeking a Quality Engineer that will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality for the assigned customer and plant, including customer support, plant support, supplier quality, and product launch.
Responsibility includes development, maintenance and continual improvement of quality plans within the QMS that will meet or exceed customer quality expectations and BOS metrics.
Facilitates corrective actions and continuous improvement projects to resolve customer complaints, supplier and plant quality issues. Works closely with customers, suppliers, operations, engineering and senior management.
Support the management, development and continual improvement of the Business Operating System.
Support and communicate quality vision and participates in long term planning.
Champions problem solving and continual improvement events. Provides the technical expertise in problem solving tools to lead, coach and teach at all levels
Administers appropriate policies, procedures and work instructions supporting QMS and Customer Specific Requirements
Assists in internal and external auditing process
Establishes and maintains positive customer and supplier relationships
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with production teams and plant support functions
Participates and/or lead the advance quality planning (AQP), and production part approval process (PPAP) activities
5+ years of experience and BS Degree preferred
Strong problem solving skills
Demonstrated knowledge of APQP
Able to read blueprints, CAD, and GD&T
Excellent writing, presenting and verbal communication skills
