Job Description

An iMPact Business Group client is seeking to hire a Quality Engineer. This role is with a highly successful manufacturing client in the precision manufactured components industry.

This role will focus on -

  • Teaming with Sales & Engineering representatives on customer/prospective customer visits.
  • Coordinate customer initial sample submissions (PPAP, ISIR, etc.).
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform Engineering documentation approvals.
  • Create and maintain Inspection information.
  • Utilize Design of Experiments (DOE) to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Design and/or quote gaging for new and/or existing jobs.
  • Coordinate gage capability and analysis studies.
  • Coordinate and also perform short and long term capability studies.
  • Gather, summarize, analyze, and present internal and external reject information to appropriate team members.
  • Design systems to help reduce or eliminate scrap.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in a Sales Support Quality Engineer role
  • ASQC Certification
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementations

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees

Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
