Job Description
Our customer is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team, where you will play a key role in delivering high quality products!
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective, long-term corrective actions to resolve product quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Partner with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns quickly and efficiently while protecting product integrity and safety.
- Intervene in production when needed to prevent the release or manufacture of nonconforming products.
- Support compliance with the Quality Management System and help ensure consistent adherence to established quality standards and procedures.
- Champion customer-preferred continuous improvement tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (error proofing), and Measurement System Analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development and product changes to ensure processes are capable of consistently meeting customer requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Design and Process FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Support special projects and strategic quality initiatives as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts that enhance product quality, process performance, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare clear written reports and deliver presentations on quality issues, root cause findings, and corrective action progress.
- Assist with internal audits and help maintain audit readiness across the organization.
Job Requirements
What you'll need:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment, with hands-on knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, along with experience using ERP systems and AutoCAD.
