Job Description

Our client, an automotive manufacturing company in the Comstock Park area, is actively looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team! 

Permanent/direct hire opportunity on 1st shift. 
Great schedule! Four 10 hour days. Any overtime would be on Fridays. 
 
Position will involve:
  • APQP/PPAP documentation and implementation
  • Helping with new program launches, engineering changes, and process improvements
  • Performing Product and Process Audits and implementing actions or improvements as a result of the audits
  • Support APQP process/projects and launches from receipt through PPAP submission.
  • Communicate with customers and internal team during APQP and PPAP phase on status, updates, needs, and requirements for launches.
  • Conducting Gage Studies, Process, Product, and Machine capability studies.
  • Develop PFMEA control plans
  • Supporting project management with documentation, implementation, and tracking of engineering changes
  • Creating and maintaining preventative actions and continuous improvements

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of automotive manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience
  • APQP & PPAP experience
  • IATF16949 Audit/regulations experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but can substitute for 7+ years of relevant experience

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees

Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
