Job Description
Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Tier 1 Automotive Quality Engineer with a strong customer-facing focus. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality in products and services. As a key liaison between our client and their customers, you'll play a vital role in understanding customer needs, translating these into actionable quality processes, and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships. Your expertise will contribute to not only meeting but exceeding customer expectations in quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary quality contact for customers, maintaining strong and effective relationships.
- Understand and analyze customer requirements to ensure they are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement quality standards and improvements in line with customer expectations.
- Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis activities in response to customer feedback or quality issues.
- Conduct regular quality reviews and audits to ensure continuous compliance with customer and industry standards.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure quality control measures are integrated effectively.
- Manage customer complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on customer feedback and quality metrics.
- Develop and deliver quality-related training to internal teams to enhance customer service and product quality.
- Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to management and customers.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a quality engineering role within the Tier 1 automotive industry.
- Strong customer service orientation and experience in a customer-facing role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
- Proficient in quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
