Our client in the Grand Rapids area is looking for a Purchasing Clerk to join their team. This will be an administrative role that will assist the Buyers with cutting PO s and vendor management.



Responsibilities



Enter Purchase Orders with accuracy and a high attention to detail

Confirm cost, artwork, and timing on Purchase Orders

Spearhead vendor follow-up including order acknowledgements, shipping confirmation, information requests, and costing

Verification and matching of receipts to invoices

Maintain and update appointment scheduling for incoming shipments

Communicate with customer support, sales, accounting, and warehouse on timing of shipments and shipment issues

Aid in item code creation and item management

Work with vendors on RFQ s for custom or new items during quoting process

Assist with duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager



Requirements



1-3 years experience in an administrative role ideally within a purchasing, supply chain or inventory, type department

Bachelor s Degree preferred or 4+ years of relevant experience

Experience with Purchase Order creation and vendor management is a bonus

Excellent Excel knowledge

High attention to detail

Eagerness to learn new tasks
