Provide a safe working environment. Help develop, document, deploy and maintain safety systems to ensure all associates and equipment are operating safely and compliant to OSHA requirements.
Achieve labor efficiency standards. Communicating job expectations to employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
Coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.
Manage staffing levels and machine utilization to match operational capacity to the work order backlog with other departments.
Initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
Quality management. Help develop, document, deploy and maintain quality systems that identify defects where they are created and prevent them from moving to the next operation.
Material Accuracy. Insure inventory hold areas are appropriately stocked, labeled and maintained for department. Verify usage of correct materials in each designated area based off of BOM.
Train and be able to perform scrap recording to ensure material is tracked and logged into the system.
Utilize Material substitution process to insure appropriate material is correctly used in BOM where necessary needed. (i.E. Fall down)
Verify delivery dates on work order schedule to insure next area is set-up for on-time start date.
Communicate work order schedule accuracy on a weekly basis with the VP of Operations.
Manage and reduce cost of goods.
Customer order fulfillment process.
