e-Commerce Payments Lead

Our client, a Global Leader in the Consumer Appliance Industry has an immediate opening for a eCommerce Payments Lead for a 7 Month + Contract. We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Payments Product Owner / Payments Lead to define and drive the roadmap for our payment systems across our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) platforms. This role is pivotal in delivering seamless, secure, and scalable payment experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Payments Strategy & Roadmap: Define and evolve the payments vision aligned with company goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Customer Support.
- Market & Regulatory Awareness: Stay current on trends, tech, and compliance (PCI DSS, GDPR).
- Performance Optimization: Monitor KPIs, reduce costs, and enhance UX.
- Compliance & Security: Partner with security teams to mitigate risks.
- Backlog Management: Translate business needs into user stories and maintain a prioritized backlog.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years in product management, ideally in fintech or financial product teams
- Deep understanding of payment processing and methods (credit cards, ACH, mobile wallets, etc.)
- Experience implementing payment methods in eCommerce environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- Fluent in English
Preferred Skills
- Experience with QuickLizard
- Familiarity with Apple Pay, PayPal, Acima, Affirm, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover
- Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), Jira, Confluence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
