Procurement & Maintenance Scheduler

Job Description
Overview:
Responsibilities:
* Oversee procurement activities related to maintenance materials, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms
* Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs and requirements
* Coordinate maintenance schedules and activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production and optimal use of resources
* Analyze and evaluate supplier performance, implementing corrective actions and improvements when necessary
* Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Implement and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory, and maintenance records

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
* 3+ years of experience in procurement and maintenance coordination, preferably within the heavy industry manufacturing sector
* Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation
* Knowledge of maintenance operations, including preventive and predictive maintenance practices
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and related software tools
Preferences:
* Experience in a casting or similar manufacturing environment
* Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) or maintenance management (e.g., CMRP, MMP)
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
* Experience with ISO 9001 and other industry-specific quality standards
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
