Job Description
Our client, a trusted manufacturer in the plastics industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Plastics Process Technician to join their second shift team (3:00pm - 11:00pm). This position plays a vital role in maintaining process control and production quality by overseeing and adjusting molding operations. Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of plastic injection molding processes, thrive in fast-paced environments, and bring a proactive approach to equipment troubleshooting and process documentation.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Set up, cycle in, and troubleshoot injection molding processes to meet quality and production standards
- Monitor key process parameters and accurately log data in real-time
- Operate and interpret systems such as E-Dart, Insight, and End-of-Arm Tooling (E.O.A.T.S.) during setup and production
- Perform K-cut setups and make necessary process adjustments as needed
- Support mold changes in collaboration with die setters and move molds to/from the tool room
- Identify and communicate mold, equipment, or product concerns to supervisors or quality assurance teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work closely with supervisors to support production goals by maximizing machine uptime and part quality
What We're Looking For:
Core Competencies
- Strong familiarity with plastic injection molding machines and processing
- Comfortable using production support tools such as E-Dart and Insight
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organized, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Able to adapt to high-paced, high-pressure environments with minimal supervision
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a plastics or manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of injection molding machines, molds, and associated tooling
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods throughout the shift
- Frequently required to handle tools, reach with arms, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color recognition, and the ability to focus

Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
