Job Description
Our client, a leading innovator in advanced automotive technologies, is seeking a Process Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing operations. This is a compelling opportunity for an engineer passionate about driving process excellence, optimizing production flow, and supporting the integration of new technologies into manufacturing systems.
As a Process Engineer, you'll serve as a key contributor to production efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement initiatives. Working at the intersection of engineering and operations, you'll provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing teams, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the seamless launch of new products. Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by resolving production and process-related issues.
- Lead the design and optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Develop and implement tools and methods for integrating new products into existing production lines.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles, Design of Experiment , and other continuous improvement methodologies to improve productivity.
- Analyze material flow, resource allocation, and cell layout using industrial engineering techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with production goals.
- Monitor project timelines, costs, and objectives to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Provide guidance or supervision to junior engineering staff or technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong foundation in Lean Manufacturing principles and modern production methodologies.
- Proficiency in process design, optimization, and implementation within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of equipment design, machine dynamics, and control systems integration.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence outcomes.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience in high-volume automotive or mechatronics manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing software, process simulation, or CAD tools.
- Prior involvement in new product introduction projects.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, SPC, or other quality improvement frameworks.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in manufacturing environments.

Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
