Job Description

Join our clients automotive manufacturing team committed to innovation and quality in Cadillac, MI. We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer who is passionate about improving production processes and driving operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized work practices to ensure high quality and cost-effective production methods.
  • Design and optimize plant layouts using CAD software to enhance workflow and maximize efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership in problem resolution to ensure sustainable manufacturing solutions.
  • Coordinate and deliver training to enhance staff skills and support new methods or standards implementation.
  • Manage and communicate effectively regarding changes in work methods, cost reduction projects, and manufacturing issues.
  • Analyze process data to guide strategic improvements and support decision-making.
  • Design, oversee, and troubleshoot the installation of new production cells, and manage ongoing modifications and upgrades.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all processes and cells are designed to eliminate quality issues and reduce scrap (Poke-yoked).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality control, plant maintenance, and production control to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive industry experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of rubber molding, robotics, and automation systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with teams across various levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CAD software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through to completion.
  • Knowledge and adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
