Process Engineer (Casting)

Job Description
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with management and the tooling engineer to develop and optimize casting processes during tooling development. This will involve running and analyzing simulation results, working with process technicians to run casting trials and low volume prototype orders, and analyzing quality results to identify and address any issues. You will also be responsible for preparing progress reports and action plans, communicating with customers and management, and completing special studies as needed.

- Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes within casting
- Develop casting processes during tooling development, including running or analyzing casting simulation results
- Run casting trials and low volume prototype orders
- Analyze quality results and develop corrective actions
- Prepare and present progress reports and develop action plans to address issues
- Communicate simulation/process results with customers and management
- Complete special studies as required
- Support and participate in safety and quality programs and projects
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Materials)
- Proficiency in UGNX
- CAD knowledge
- Knowledge and interest in Finite Element Analysis and Casting Simulation
- Ability to work unsupervised and complete projects on schedule
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of automotive customer requirements
- Ability to lead and work in a cross-functional team environment
- Independent action and initiative
- Appropriate, reasonable, timely, and realistic decision-making
- Open to new ideas and perspectives
- Self-confidence in ideas, judgments, and capabilities
- Ability to ensure work is done correctly, completely, and to the highest standards
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Familiarity with engineering practices and processes and good communication skills
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
