Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing company in Spartanburg, SC is actively seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their team!
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the assembly production process, developing, and implementing new manufacturing methods, and improving existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure quality products.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes
  • Work closely with Controls Engineering and Maintenance to automate and improve assembly lines
  • Optimize robotics to streamline production flow
  • Continuously monitor and improve manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste
  • Identify and troubleshoot process issues to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements
  • Statistical analysis of manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Provide training and support to production teams on process-related topics
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new processes and equipment
  • Manage projects related to process improvements and equipment installations
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies


Job Requirements

Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field
  • 2+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting 
  • Knowledge of automated assembly systems and robotics 
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement and scrap reduction methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems like Shoplogix or similar software
  • Experience with vision systems
  • Basic knowledge of PLC Programming
