Job Description
Our plastics manufacturing client in the Rockford, MI area is looking for a skilled and experienced Plastics Extrusion Manager to oversee our plastics manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing thermoforming and extrusion equipment and operations, as well as a deep understanding of plastics manufacturing processes.

- Oversee and manage the plastics extrusion process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently
- Supervise and lead a team of extrusion operators to ensure they are meeting production targets and quality standards
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve the efficiency of the extrusion process
- Maintain and repair equipment as needed to ensure it is operating effectively
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the extrusion process
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure there are adequate supplies for production
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure production schedules are met and products are delivered on time
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve the extrusion process and implement changes as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in plastics extrusion, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
- Experience working with extrusion equipment and processes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Strong organizational and project management skills
