Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Plastic Extrusion Operator to join our clients plastics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating plastic extrusion machines to produce high-quality plastic products. As a Plastic Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring that the machines are operating efficiently and effectively to produce products that meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate plastic extrusion machines to produce plastic products according to specifications
* Monitor the machines and make adjustments to ensure that they are running efficiently and producing high-quality products
* Inspect and measure the products to ensure they meet quality standards
* Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor repairs as needed
* Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in plastic extrusion or a related field
- Knowledge of plastic materials and their properties
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Basic math skills
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
