Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee our client's automotive manufacturing facilities in Battle Creek, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, production management, and automotive manufacturing. As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of the manufacturing plant, meeting production goals, ensuring quality standards, and managing a team of employees.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production goals and improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the manufacturing plant, including production, quality control, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and production plans to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and logistics to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of supervisors, engineers, and other plant personnel, fostering a positive work culture and ensuring high morale.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to manufacturing, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Implement and maintain a continuous improvement culture by leading Lean Six Sigma initiatives and other process improvement projects.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • 10+years of operational leadership/management experience
  • Proven track record of successful operations management, including production planning, quality control, and maintenance management.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other process improvement initiatives.
