Plant Controller
Job Description
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
Partner with plant leadership to explain financial results
Lead plant month-end close activities
Oversee inventory accounting, including physical counts, reconciliations, and investigation of variances
Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
Review general ledger (GL) activity, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Assist with year-end close, audit support, and compliance requirements
Drive continuous improvement (CI) in financial processes, reporting, and internal controls
Ensure adherence to -- company policies, quality systems, and environmental systems
Lead, mentor, and develop plant Accounting staff
Manage day-to-day activities of the Accounting team
Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Provide coaching, training, and development to staff
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations of accounting personnel
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
4-8+ years of Accounting / Finance experience in a Manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of Financial Statements and month-end close processes
Experience with Inventory accounting and cost analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Office applications
ERP system experience
