Paint Technician (2nd Shift)
Job Description
2nd Shift Paint Technician - Paint Line Support
Shift: 2nd Shift (Start time: 12:00 PM; End time varies between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM based on paint line schedule)
Position Summary
This role supports robotic and paint application systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, safety-conscious, and thrives in a team-oriented, continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain robotic and paint application equipment per control plans
- Perform and document maintenance, calibrations, and robot PMs to ensure optimal performance
- Use diagnostic and testing tools including volt meters, paint applicator test stands, seava air cap testers, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment, and welders
- Identify and resolve product, process, or quality issues in compliance with IATF-16949 standards
- Support cross-functional tasks using work guidance sheets, TPMs, and quality alerts
- Maintain professional radio etiquette and adhere to all safety policies
- Meet daily production goals and accurately report production data
- Maintain organized work areas and properly store tools
- Support lean initiatives including 5S and continuous improvement efforts
- Work overtime as required and perform additional duties as assigned
