Job Description
Overview:
Responsibilities:
• Develop, optimize, and maintain paint processes, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and environmental compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in paint application and curing processes
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for paint-related issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Evaluate and select paint materials, equipment, and technologies based on performance, cost, and sustainability considerations
• Support the integration of robotics and automation equipment into the paint process, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance
• Ensure adherence to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in paint engineering

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field / Equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in paint engineering or a similar role, preferably within the heavy industry manufacturing sector
• Strong understanding of paint chemistry, application techniques, and curing processes
• Knowledge of robotics and mechanical systems used in manufacturing environments
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Preferences:
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• Experience in a casting or similar manufacturing environment
• Professional certifications in paint engineering or related fields (e.g., NACE, SSPC, or FROSIO)
• Experience with ISO 9001 and other industry-specific quality standards
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
