Job Description

Our client, a renowned global manufacturer in the heavy industry sector, is currently seeking a skilled Paint Engineer to join their team. As a Paint Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing paint processes and technologies for the manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for ensuring that the paint systems meet quality, efficiency, and environmental standards, while continuously working on improvements. This role requires a deep understanding of paint chemistry, as well as knowledge of robotics and mechanical systems to ensure smooth integration into the manufacturing process.

    Develop, optimize, and maintain paint processes, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and environmental compliance
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in paint application and curing processes
    Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for paint-related issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary
    Evaluate and select paint materials, equipment, and technologies based on performance, cost, and sustainability considerations
    Support the integration of robotics and automation equipment into the paint process, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance
    Ensure adherence to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
    Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in paint engineering

Job Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field / Equivalent experience
    3+ years of experience in paint engineering or a similar role, preferably within the heavy industry manufacturing sector
    Strong understanding of paint chemistry, application techniques, and curing processes
    Knowledge of robotics and mechanical systems used in manufacturing environments
    Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

    Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
    Experience in a casting or similar manufacturing environment
    Professional certifications in paint engineering or related fields (e.g., NACE, SSPC, or FROSIO)
    Experience with ISO 9001 and other industry-specific quality standards
