Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacture has an immediate opening for a Associate Supplier Quality Engineer for a 12 Month + Contract. Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)
Works with Marketing, R&D, Cost Accounting, and Materials on new product development. Serves as the voice of operations and our supply chain partners in the development process and works on design for manufacturability, supplier process validation, and risk analysis. Responsible for the following NPD phases: planning, design/process, preproduction and production. Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the advanced manufacturing and process engineering specialization.
Initiate, review & approve PPAPs in accordance with client procedures
Revise affected quality system documentation as required
Interface with Engineering, Production, and suppliers as needed
Communicate project status and escalate unresolved issues
Works in a hands-on manner to develop system level design strategies, make recommendations to management and coordinate implementation.
Provides on-going status reports including periodic reviews progress and evaluation of results to management.
Accountable for all record-keeping as appropriate and in accordance with client specifications.
Perform with honesty and integrity instituting a highly responsive and unsurpassed level of customer service, providing best-in-class products, services and quality.
Contributes to leading in product innovation by listening and working with others and contributing new ideas.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline. GPA of 3.0 or higher, strongly preferred.
Achieved a limited (learning) level of industry knowledge. Must possess excellent presentation and communication skills.
At least 2 years experience in Supplier Quality Engineering and/or manufacturing engineering
PPAP and Quality Inspection knowledge
Understanding of quality management systems (ISO 13485/9001)
Ability to work and make decisions independently
Ability to multi-task projects without affecting accuracy
Highly organized & able to work with little supervision
Understanding document revision and data entry
Strong computer skills MS Word, Excel, and SharePoint, PLM
