Job Description

Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Travel Required: ~40%
Compensation: Excellent Compensation plan including Base, Bonus, Commission and Car Allowance.


We are seeking a dynamic, growth-driven VP of Sales & Marketing to lead our customer acquisition strategy and spearhead new business development efforts across North America. 


The ideal candidate thrives on customer-facing interactions, builds strong relationships with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, and brings a competitive, driven, and collaborative approach.  This role will sit on our Executive Team, actively participating in weekly and quarterly strategy meetings.


Key Responsibilities

Lead New Business Development: Drive proactive outreach and face-to-face engagement with potential customers across all served industries.

Strategic Account Growth: Oversee major accounts while identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities in collaboration with engineering and plant management.
Team Leadership: Manage and grow a sales team that includes internal sales team and manufacturing reps.
Customer Engagement: Spend ~40% of time traveling to customer sites, industry shows, and prospecting visits.
Forecasting & Strategy: Drive pipeline management, market analysis, and quote follow-ups to ensure accurate sales forecasting and resource planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with plant and engineering managers to ensure quoting accuracy, production alignment, and customer satisfaction.
Marketing Oversight: Guide strategic marketing initiatives and external communications to support lead generation and brand visibility.


Job Requirements

Qualifications

Proven track record as a hunter in manufacturing or engineered component sales-die casting, metal fabrication, plastics, or similar industries preferred.


10+ years of sales experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and technical selling processes
Experience working with manufacturers' reps and internal sales/account teams
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel ~40% nationally.
