Our client is seeking an accomplished insurance product leader to serve as their AVP of Product Management for Personal and Commercial Lines. This strategic role will be responsible for shaping competitive, innovative insurance products while ensuring regulatory compliance and driving profitable growth. As the AVP, you'll oversee product strategy, pricing, and performance across multiple lines and territories, while collaborating closely with underwriting, actuarial, distribution, and compliance partners.
This is an opportunity for a forward-thinking, analytically sharp professional who thrives in both the strategic and operational aspects of insurance product management. You'll lead the charge in enhancing the company's market position through product innovation, pricing sophistication, and technology-driven ease of use.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage personal and commercial lines insurance products and rate structures across assigned markets.
- Lead product development initiatives that enhance competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and ease of use for distribution partners.
- Ensure filed lines of business comply with all applicable state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on competitive analysis, risk segmentation, and pricing strategy.
- Support and drive innovation to elevate offerings and value to producers and policyholders.
- Lead performance reviews across portfolios, producers, and policy levels to assess profitability and recommend actions.
- Oversee the creation of product training materials and contribute to the education of underwriting and sales teams.
- Guide and manage business planning, program management, and cross-functional product initiatives.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in insurance or business-related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of recent experience in the insurance industry, with advanced understanding of personal and commercial lines products.
- Proven leadership of complex underwriting and product management assignments.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, risk segmentation, and insurance pricing methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presenter and collaborator.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements at the state and federal level.
- Skilled in managing competing priorities with urgency and discipline.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze results at industry, portfolio, and policy levels and implement corrective strategies.
- Experience in catastrophe risk analysis and competitive intelligence.
Preferred:
- CPCU designation preferred.
- Experience in project management, from planning through successful execution.
- Prior success in delivering product training to underwriting or front-line staff.
- Familiarity with digital distribution channels and technology-driven insurance solutions.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
